I’m a follower of Jesus Christ. I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with an amazing wife and three wacky, fun kids. I'm a pastor at Covenant Life Church. I’m also a writer.
My friend Donald Miller shares a helpful tip for writers: get a kitchen timer. Don explains, "When I have two or three writing assignments I just make a list, then pick one, then set my little timer for an hour or twenty minutes or whatever amount of time that specific assignment will cost me. And then, while the timer is ticking away on my desk, I don't let myself do anything else....When the timer goes off, I decide whether I want to keep working on it, or move on. It's a simple tool, but it works." Read more.
Tim Challies asks whether he's ready to address his Google search history with God. "What would I say to him if he were to ask me about the things I have gone looking for online? Could I tell him with confidence that what I have sought is an indication of a heart that is aligned with his purposes? Or would I have to confess that my searches point to a heart that is drawn to what is evil and perverse?" Read the post.

Hey, just found the book. I wasn't a big fan of "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" but I think it was probably my heart at the time I read it. But I just read Boy Meets Girl and, well, congradulations - this has been the only book on dating that has actually made sense and challenged my views. But now I just read that you're coming out with a new version? Anyway for someone who just bought the original to get the new material other than going out and buying the book I just bought a week ago?I'd be pretty excited to read the 8 conversations bit... it'd definitely help me out right now =)Thanks!

hi everyone!I am a Filipino and bought two books of Joshua Harris IKDG and Not even a hint and that made Mr. Joshua harris my favorite author. The two books is so honest and reliable. I am a Christian and it really help me a lot in avoiding worldly standards and focus more on what God has in store for me, a better plan. Mr. Harris is right for writing that we need accountability for us to help each other in battle against sins and temptations. I still have many questions and stories to ask and tell. And i will really appreciate if Joshua Harris will be the one to answer all of the thoughts that I have. Because I know He is Guided by God and do have the wisdom that only comes from the Lord. My e-mail address is company_b10012@yahoo.com, Im waiting for the reply of my favorite author himself. thanks and God Bless!ThanksYork Mercado
