Purity Download: Tip 4
The following is excerpted from Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is) and is the fourth of a seven-part series on resisting internet porn.
4. Have an accountability partner that consistently asks about your Internet activity.
Even if you don't have a history of struggling with Internet porn, you need a friend who regularly asks how you're doing in this area. Find someone you trust and respect of the same gender who will put the question to you straight--and wait for your answer. Then get a commitment from him or her to put you on the spot regularly.
This tip wins the "no duh" award. Everybody trumpets the importance of accountability. But how do you actually make it work in your life? What has helped you? What mistakes have you made? What needs to change in your relationships to make accountability for online temptation actually helpful? Please feel free to post your thoughts.

Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
Give Me An Answer Highschool Conference: I'm looking forward to joining Al Mohler, Russell Moore, Shane & Shane and hip-hop artist Flame at the SBTS conference for highschool students next spring. Details.
Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.

hi big bro josh,
thank you so much for your book I KISSED DATING GOODBYE. it's God-glorifying; it's interesting as well. It gives a second thought to both Christians and non-Christians to re-examine their lives especially their love lives.
i deeply appreciate your honesty whenever you cite anecdotes of your experiences.
you are such a blessing.
May God bless you more and your family.

it was like a blessing in disguise to me when my gf and i broke up ayear ago. it was like god uses your books to teach me what to do with my feelings. you know josh im your big fan in christ because i keep thank the lord jesus christ for using your message to inspire me with holiness and to strive myself to fight purity not only physically but spiritually. i know his using you as an instrument to inspire many people. by the way josh, my name is fritz pagodon 25 yr old, male and your brother here in christ from the philliphines. josh i urge to please write more books which is affordable for us filipinos becoz i know a lot of people wanted to read it but cannot afford to buy it because is a little bit expensive when converted to peso. but even though how expensive it is, the context and the teaching in it can't be paid by any means. pls understand my bad english because i'm only filipino but this does not hindrance for me to communicate to you as a servant of god. you know i am a roman catholic Christian, but for me religion is not a big deal as long as it's not against to the will of jesus christ and free to accept it. pls reply me with your personal message. thanks a lot.

wow, these page was swarmed by Filipinos (like me! =p) I thank God for your life Josh and for your books and this blog that continue to touch people and inspire them (us) to live a life with genuine Biblical conviction. I hope you'd visit us here in the Philippine someday and hold a seminar/conference like your NA conference there in the US, or maybe even a seminar more focused on relationship and pursuing purity for God's glory. I know a lot of Filipinos, particularly the Christian Filipinos would love that. I hope our church will invite you to be one of our speakers someday in our Annual KKB Youth Summit Conference. (by the way, KKB stands for Kristyanong Kabataan para sa Bayan, translated in English as Christian Youth for the Nation.) here is the website http://kkbmovement.org/ or our church http://www.jilworldwide.org/index.php you may visit the site when you have free time. Our church is one of the biggest Christian churches in the Philippines and the world at the same time somewhat 'controversial' for our stand in politics for wanting the needed change in government and administration. Like our pastor said, it's a disgrace that the Philippines claim to be the only Christian nation in South East Asia, yet is the number 1 corrupt country in the region. If you have time, you may browse our site to know more about our church and perhaps also learn or get insights or even share your ideas/thoughts. I hope what you will read will also help you in your ministry or in writing your books. I pray that our political stand (though each of us have our own stand on political and social issues, never did our pastors force us stand on something we disagree, it's free will.) scare you off. You might read stuff (in online news portals) about our church or our founder/pastor, some maybe good, others not at all. But I believe God will transform the Philippines and we won't be called as number 1 corrupt country in South East Asia anymore but a land of true and genuine followers and worshipers of Jesus Christ.

opps...sorry it should be "this page" not "these page", my bad that's embarrassing! even more embarrassing that I teach English and get some grammatical errors! what a shame! and I don't want people to think that Filipinos are bad at English. :)

LOL. another correction... it should be..."I hope that our political stand will NOT scare you off." LOL.. what is happening to me today.

Oh No, I am also a Filipino, Bro Josh, when I saw your book, no more second thought, lol, I bought two of your books though its quite expensive, I am currently reading your "I kissed dating goodbye" next in line, "boy meets girl" and I am hoping to have all your books...

Sir Josh, I am looking forward and hoping that I may able to shake hands with you. ~excited leh~
I have to confess that I am secretly living your beliefs, saving the best for my future wife. Before when my friend ask me "Hey Mark, do have any sex experience already?" my answered was like "secret, its private leh, and sometime forced to lie, answering YES, lol, and telling some bad lie sex story of mine how I did it. hahaha" One of my girl friend told me before that it's a shame at my age (I am 22 this year) having no experience. One factor added for me to lie sometime. Hihihi. But not anymore, "Well, I am saving the best for my wife, I am not ready yet no reason for me to do it, Why waste my sperm to stranger or to anybody?" quoting from your book, lol. "Well guys no need for me to be an expert in bed, hmmm, it only means that I have to devote time to be one when I am married" lol again from your book.
Your books help me a lot, I can stand now without shame when someboby(friend) ask me about sexual matter unlike before.
I've a very pretty officemate where I have a huge crush and I am planning to court her...I am thinking if I am ready for commitment and not sure if what I am feeling is Love not infatuation or what but pretty sure not lust.
Btw, when I told my guy friend that I want my first kiss be in front of the altar, ~ he laughed out loud, to exaggerate, he almost can't breathe laughing that I nearly spank him. Grrrrrrr.
~hard for me to sleep at night thinking of her, blushing~ first time to be like this.
~Mark here...
PS: Whooooa, I am very much flattered that my favorite(flatterer me, hahaha) author responded in my post, I am happy indeed.
