Praying for Godspell

Today I have a little prayer request for you.
Members of my church know that tonight our youth ministry is putting on a production of the musical Godspell. They've worked hard and prayed hard under the direction of Cathy Mays, and their goal for the show is to reach people with the gospel. The show, which is based on the Book of Matthew, is a powerful depiction of Christ's love and atoning death and resurrection. And many unbelievers will be present.
Unfortunately, sickness has struck and appears to be running through the cast. Yesterday six of the leads were out with fevers. Would you please join me in praying for the full recovery of these students and, where that isn't possible, for grace on the understudies who will fill their roles?
Last Saturday, Shannon and I had the cast over to our house and we were so encouraged by the joy, godliness and passion that these young men and women have. Our church is so grateful to have teenagers like this with hearts for the Lord. We trust God is going to use this small trial for their good.
Even though many of you don't know them, your prayers would be greatly appreciated. And if you live in the area, please come see the show. They're putting it on twice this weekend and twice next weekend. You can find information on the performances at our church website.

Bad Guy Caught With a Mac: This is a great story. A girl's Apple laptop gets stolen but she uses a remote access program to control it and takes a picture of the thief as the doofus sits in front of the stolen computer. "Smile! You're getting your mug shot taken!" Using the picture, the police nab the bad guy. Moral of the story? Don't mess with a high-tech girl's Mac.
New Word Alive's Top 10: The recent New Word Alive conference showed a video top-ten list of books for students. My book Sex is Not the Problem made the list. It's pretty funny. I just wish mine could have made it in the wok.

Church?
"I am reading Joshua Harris book Stop Dating the Church...love it. He talks about the people who believe they can be Christians and never go to church. I have heard this argument many times. They don't believe you have to fellowship..." (Read full post here.)
Jargon Meets Advice
"Boy Meets Girl: I read part of this back when I bought it 7-ish years ago. If you get past the jargon-y parts it has some solid advice." (Read full post here.)
A Brief Review
"I think this book [Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is)] would appeal to both teenagers and parents, although I would give the parents the book first to read. This is not explicit in its language but it does tackle the difficult questions." (Read full post here.)

Oh I have been there. I used to be in many dramas and musicals, and when flu/cold season came... it seemed to come RIGHT when the dramas started. Praise God that they have this opportunity to reach these nonbelievers and to be a part of God's great plan. And in such a fun way too!
I'll keep praying
