Sovereign Grace Church of Frederick

On Sunday, I had the joy of preaching at our sister church in Frederick, MD, while their senior pastor, Chris Silard, was preaching at Covenant Life. This quick video clip gives a glimpse of this thriving new church that was planted last fall. Our whole family went and thoroughly enjoyed the time. It was encouraging to see many new people among the familiar faces. It's obvious that Chris is doing a great job. This is totally off-subject; What are your views on Teen Mania and the Acquire the Fire ministry? Do you recommend sending a teen to the events?

Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
