Shannon's Monday Project

Monday is my day off. I was particularly tired yesterday, so it was a pretty low-key day for me. The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time outside. Joshua Quinn and I played a little tennis. We pretended to be at the French Open. He is always Roger Federer and I'm always Rafael Nadal. He always wins.
Shannon was in high gear today. She and Emma repainted our shed. It looks very nice.
Today I kick into high gear preparing for New Attitude. As Emma always says, Mondays go by too quickly. So true.

Church?
"I am reading Joshua Harris book Stop Dating the Church...love it. He talks about the people who believe they can be Christians and never go to church. I have heard this argument many times. They don't believe you have to fellowship..." (Read full post here.)
Jargon Meets Advice
"Boy Meets Girl: I read part of this back when I bought it 7-ish years ago. If you get past the jargon-y parts it has some solid advice." (Read full post here.)
A Brief Review
"I think this book [Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is)] would appeal to both teenagers and parents, although I would give the parents the book first to read. This is not explicit in its language but it does tackle the difficult questions." (Read full post here.)

What a wonderful family! It is such a blessing to see such a strong family unit. On a completely different note, I was troubled to read your comment about Dr. Falwell - better known to me as "Jerry." I understand the concerns that people have regarding his influence in politics, but I knew him only as a man who could be counted on to stand up for what he believed, as well as one who has humble enough to admit when he was wrong. I would encourage you to take a tour of "Liberty Mountain" and see all of the good that Dr. Falwell has done. Yes, he preached against abortion, but he also opened a home for unwed mothers to give them a hand up, free of charge, while they decided the fate of their unborn child. He preached against ungodly behavior, but he provided counseling, again free of charge, to any who asked. I have been blessed to sit under his teaching, and he NEVER preached hatred of the sinner, but only the sin. Despite what the media portrays...he was actually a pretty amazing man...I could go on and on, but I will spare you that. Thank you so much for all of the amazing work that you do, and the wonderful example that you have provided. God Bless.

What a precious family. It's such a joy for me, although I do not know you guys, to see you truly happy. I am now taking a second look at your books after reading them for the first time years ago. I am in a relationship that I am not sure of, and am praying for God's will to be done. You guys are encouraging.
