It's good to be home, but I do miss the kids at The Clash. If you're a Clash

Bad Guy Caught With a Mac: This is a great story. A girl's Apple laptop gets stolen but she uses a remote access program to control it and takes a picture of the thief as the doofus sits in front of the stolen computer. "Smile! You're getting your mug shot taken!" Using the picture, the police nab the bad guy. Moral of the story? Don't mess with a high-tech girl's Mac.
New Word Alive's Top 10: The recent New Word Alive conference showed a video top-ten list of books for students. My book Sex is Not the Problem made the list. It's pretty funny. I just wish mine could have made it in the wok.
Challies on Do Hard Things: Here's a review by Tim Challies of my brothers' new book Do Hard Things.

Church?
"I am reading Joshua Harris book Stop Dating the Church...love it. He talks about the people who believe they can be Christians and never go to church. I have heard this argument many times. They don't believe you have to fellowship..." (Read full post here.)
Jargon Meets Advice
"Boy Meets Girl: I read part of this back when I bought it 7-ish years ago. If you get past the jargon-y parts it has some solid advice." (Read full post here.)
A Brief Review
"I think this book [Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is)] would appeal to both teenagers and parents, although I would give the parents the book first to read. This is not explicit in its language but it does tackle the difficult questions." (Read full post here.)

Hey Josh,
Thanks for leading the discussion group. It was great to discuss the messages and laugh together. Thank you for pouring your heart into our lives. I benefited so much from the discussion group and will have many fond memories of our times together.

Josh,
Thanks for leading our group! I think getting to know everyone, and especially everybody's willingness to really discuss things will probably be one of my favorite Clash memories. Thank you again for your example of humility in being willing to lead us.

Hey Josh! Even though i wasn't in your group, I had fun hanging out with you the second to last night. I think human pyrimids needs to be a clash tradition.

Thanks so much for helping me understand the issue of gender roles more fully. The fact that you took the time to listen to my concerns and to counsel me in that means a lot to me.
God bless!

Thank you so much for coming. Your attendance is testimony to your heart for God's kingdom "coming" in the "last days" of our generation - and man, did you fit right in! lol :)
i wanted to send something to you - but i've already posted it, so here's a link:

Josh, Thank you for you example of what it is to be a humble servant. Your humiliy thoughout the entire conference was provoking and encouraging! Thank you also for your passion to draw the nest generation to Christ. It was a blast!

Josh,
Thank you so very much for the time you took to answer my questions. Not only did you give me practical things to do and say to help with the issues, but you reminded me of the importance of praying. Please thank your wife and family for giving you up for the week!-Christina Deloglos

Hey, everybody! Thanks for your encouraging posts. I didn't mean for this to turn into a "say nice things about Josh" moment. But it's very kind of you.
Today I told our church about the Clash and was able to honor Nathan and Jeff for all their hard work. I showed a few pics and ended with the one of me on top of the pyramid looking like a maniac.
I've been teaching my kids how to play the "Moose" game which they think is really funny. I tried to teach them the whole slap the table thing but I've forgotten most of them. And what am I thinking? Why do I want to teach my kids how to make more noise?
Hope ya'll are recovering nicely. God bless!

Thanks so much for your selflessness and humility this past week! It was so fun to meet you and hang out with you. What you said after the gender roles teaching was such an encouragement to me. Thanks for being willing to talk to everyone even if they weren't in your group. I've read your books and heard you preach, and it was so cool to see you living out everything you say (and to see you do a back flip). Thanks for laughing with (or at) us during the discussion time...and thanks for the candy!

Hey Josh,
I just wanted to thank you for being at Clash to be a Counselor and serve us all so well. But, I do want to thank you much more specifically for leading that "FUN" night on Thursday night. It started out crazy, then became a talent show, and soon you transitioned us into a night of amazing worship. Thanks for leading and serving us all.

Hey that's me--right behind Nathan Sasser's head! Cool. In all honesty, the CLASH has been one of the THE greatest experiences of my life. Thank you to all my new CLASH buddies, and, again Josh Harris, for his awesome leadership.

What an awesome week! I'll never forget it--especially all the human pyramids and spontaneous worship times. Thanks for being the best group leader ever! Go team Harris! Clash to the Max! We'll have to get together some time so I can finish teaching you the hand-slapping-table game. :)

What a blessing it was to be at The Clash! It was all I anticipated and more.
