Update: Taliban Agrees to Release Hostages

As an update to my earlier post asking for prayer, I wanted to give an update on, Lord willing, the releases of the remaining 19 South Korean Christians.

According to various news reports, Afghanistan's Taliban militants have agreed to release all 19 remaining Christian aid workers it holds hostage on condition that South Korea withdraws its troops from the country within this year as planned and prohibit its nationals from conducting evangelical activities in Afghanistan.

It does sound like the deal is not quite final and that it may take a little while for the prisoners to be released. Let's continue in prayer both for these Koreans and the country of Afghanistan.
