Amazon Bestseller: Do Hard Things

In late-breaking proud-older-brother news, Do Hard Things, written by my brothers Alex and Brett, spent yesterday climbing the charts on amazon.com. As Brett wrote last night, "20 minutes left for the day and we've reached #5 overall and #1 bestselling Christian book on Amazon.com. We're #2 in Religion & Spirituality behind "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle."
Yesterday's spike in sales is thanks to an organized "Amazon book bomb." What is that? Read about it here.
The book is available April 15. I'm really excited to get this into the hands of the teens our church. Here's the endorsement I wrote for the book:
When someone tells you that his younger brothers wrote an incredible book, he's either just being nice because they're family, or he really means it. Well, I am not just being nice, I mean it. This book is excellent. And I can commend it to you because my brothers' love for Christ and personal example back up the message. If you are a teen or have a teen, I strongly encourage you to get a copy
Do Hard Things is easy to read, but it will challenge you to the core. It is inspiring, insightful and practical. Alex and Brett show that the teenage years are not a season to endure, but a time to excel and to grow. Then they show you how.Parents, this book won't keep your teenagers out of trouble. It will get them into the right kind of trouble—the kind that comes when they dream, take risks for God and dare to flaunt the status quo. Put it in their hands. Read it yourself. Every former teen needs this book, too. I know I do. It's never to late to do hard things.

Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.
Sex-Trafficking in USA: A recent nation-wide crackdown rescued 52 children from sex-trafficking. The LA Times reports that most victims in this wicked industry begin at age 12. And it's "estimated that 100,000 children are still involved in sex trafficking in the U.S., adding that the problem is growing partly because of the recession." Read the article.
Andrew Gallo VstheBrain: Here are some still shots and technical specs on the video shoot we did the other day. I haven't gotten around to asking Andrew to explain his company's name VstheBrain, but it sounds cool. Read post.

We've had a copy on reserve at Amazon since last fall for our daughter's April birthday (she is an avid reader of The Rebelution site, and requested the book as soon as she found out about it). We'll also be giving a copy to our son and each of his classmates in May as they "graduate" from the 8th grade at the Christian school they attend.

Ha! You're such a great big brother. :) I ordered a book, and you're brothers might just pass you up! Personally, I hope they do! :)

Abby,
"Might" pass me up? Are you kidding? They did that a long time ago! (smile) God bless and thanks for your support. I'm sure you'll enjoy their book.
