Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

If you live in the area I'd love to have you join us for our Youth Ministry's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a Broadway musical based on the biblical story of Joseph.
Today our pastoral team surprised the cast with pizza. They were working hard rehearsing and were happy to see the food. We got to watch them run through a song which was great. My kids can't wait to see them all perform.
Shows are March 28 & 29 and April 4 & 5. You can purchase tickets here.
Update: I've gotten questions from people who don't understand how we can do this production at our church. In most cases they've seen the Broadway show or watched a film version of it (I'm told there's one that stars Donny Osmund). I can understand the concern, but the way we stage it is totally different. Dave Mays, whose wife Cathy does an outstanding job directing many of our musical productions explains:
The play Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is based on the biblical story of Joseph from the book of Genesis. For the most part, the script is faithful to the biblical account; however, regardless of how a script is written, it can be directed and performed in a very different way. Unfortunately the Donny Osmund production of Joseph, which many people have seen, was performed in a way that did not honor God. But we believe there is enough in the script that is true to the biblical account to enable it to be produced in a God-honoring way, and that has been our objective.I think Cathy and her team have accomplished this objective with every production they've done. Another reason we chose this show is that it's familiar enough that guests are willing to come see it. We've found events like this to be a good way to introduce people to the church.
Finally, I would advise people, regardless of their faith, to avoid anything involving Donny Osmund. Hope that helps.

Church?
"I am reading Joshua Harris book Stop Dating the Church...love it. He talks about the people who believe they can be Christians and never go to church. I have heard this argument many times. They don't believe you have to fellowship..." (Read full post here.)

A Brief Review
"I think this book [Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is)] would appeal to both teenagers and parents, although I would give the parents the book first to read. This is not explicit in its language but it does tackle the difficult questions." (Read full post here.)
