A Reminder of God's Faithfulness

I recently got an encouraging letter in the mail. In it, the parents of a young man wrote,
Thought you would like to see pictures of fruit God has worked from your ministry. The first picture is of you and Micah when he was about 13 years old. He took your challenge, and with God's help didn't "date", although he already knew and "liked" Kimberly, he remained friends with her until they came back from a missions trip when he was 18. He went to her dad, who was discipling him, and declared his love and intent of marriage. The second picture is their marriage invitation for this past December, age 22 and 20 years old....What a blessing they have been to many....We thank God for His work in their hearts and lives.Micah and Kimberly, we wish you all the best in your new marriage and service to the Savior.

Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
Give Me An Answer Highschool Conference: I'm looking forward to joining Al Mohler, Russell Moore, Shane & Shane and hip-hop artist Flame at the SBTS conference for highschool students next spring. Details.
Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.

That is truly one of the coolest things I've seen in quite a while.
Soli Deo gloria, brother.

I do not know Kim and Micah well, but my sister was Kim's maid of honor - they seem to really love the Lord. Thank-you for posting this - for a mom of young children this is encouraging!!

Thank you for sharing this, Josh. Such stories always warm the heart of we teenagers who are committed to waiting for God's timing.
Even though I am already 19, my parents (who are also pastors) have made it clear that they do not want me to entertain courtship while I pursue studies abroad starting this September. It's been and will be a very great challenge to obey them in the Lord, trusting that God would write my love story in His time, within the guidelines my parents set.
Agreeing with principles is one thing, internalizing them is another. And real-life stories like these inspire me beyond all words can say. Please do continue to share the fruit of God's work in this area. I believe hundreds would be blessed through such testimonies.
