Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
Give Me An Answer Highschool Conference: I'm looking forward to joining Al Mohler, Russell Moore, Shane & Shane and hip-hop artist Flame at the SBTS conference for highschool students next spring. Details.
Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.

Beautiful, and what a valuable lesson, too. I'm 21, and I still struggle with the number of days in each month. I have to use the "knuckle" trick.

Really good! I could hardly tell the difference between Emma and her mom.

Wow! Emma is certainly going to make a CD in the future! ;)

Only Shannon could make that song sound so beautiful..... It sounds like your daughter is going to follow in Mommy's footsteps!

Woha Josh!...I mean, Shannon and Emma :) That's beautiful!!! God bless your voices.

Dear Emma, Guess what, honey? James and I were memorizing that same poem about the months and it's posted up on our wall! But we both agree that the song is much prettier! Thanks for working hard to sing so beautifully.

That was so sweet! Makes me think of the "old days" when Shannon first came around. Now mamma and daughter sing together. Lovely.

Very pretty! And informative. I played it at least eight times in order to memorize it. Haven't ever heard it before, but now it is firmly ensconced in my noggin.
Maybe in the distant future, Emma could become a professor and sing all her lectures. There would be many, many thankful students I am sure.
If you enjoy learning facts through song like that you may want to check out a CD and book called Lyrical Life Science. It is so much fun learning facts through fun musical renditions of familiar songs.
Thanks again.

What a blessing for a husband/father to hear. I consider Ms. Shannon one of my Christian (female) role models.

It is so very beautiful! Both Emma and Shannon have excellent voices that touch the heart. Thanks for sharing this blessing with us, Josh. May your family continue to lift up musical praises for God's glory :)

That was very beautiful - I could listen to it over and over! Songs are a great way to memorize things. I still remember when I heard Shannon sing "Who Am I" during your True Love Tour back in the day. =)
Have a wonderful week!

To be another echo (echo, echo)...that was beautiful! Not being able to sing well helps me to appreciate those who can!!

Dear Josh,
Thank you for the blessing your family has been to ours. We went to your dad's conferences several times about 20 years ago, we've read all your books, used your parents planner, and our sons have been to a Rebolution Conference.
I wanted to quickly share with you the way my father taught me the verse that your wife and daughter so beautifully sang:
Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one.
Except my Uncle Harry,
And he rides a bicycle.
Thanks and may God bless you as you have us,
Kim for the Nisbetts

They have really pretty voices. I could see a mother/daughter cd in the furure.....I'm serious.

Does it ever feel weird having a daughter that is older than your brother? I had noticed in "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" how you said you were the oldest of 6. Then I started to hear that there were 7 kids in your family and I was really confused. Then I found out how old James was! Your family is really spread out in age (except for Alex and Brett of course!)!!
In Christ,
Olivia
