Atheism Remix
Atheism Remix: The contemporary strain of atheism--the New Atheism--is more popular and widely accepted than previous strains. Dr. Al Mohler's newest book provides a Christian response to New Atheism's four leading thinkers: Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens. You can learn more at a promotional site for the book.

Christianity Today Reviews Lu: The Na Band, fronted by Devon Kauflin who leads worship at our church, had its album reviewed by CT. The reviewer states that the album is "far from your typical corporate praise album, Looked Upon and its indie-styled hymnody are best suited for times of prayer and personal devotions." He also says it has a shoe-gazer quality throughout, but we won't draw attention to that.
Entrusted with the Gospel: The Gospel Coalition National Conference is scheduled for April 21-23, 2009 in Chicago. I love the theme "Living the Vision of 2 Timothy." I'll be doing a seminar. Hope to see you there.
Song I Can't Stop Singing: It's done my soul good to sing the song Glorious and Mighty from the Sovereign Grace Psalms album. It's sung by my friend Missy Farmer. More...

Let's just hope this newest "strain" of atheism is the last. Once everyone dumps their religion in exchange for sanity and reason there will be no more need to call anyone an atheist. Cheers!

Exactly ~D~,
Why has the term "atheism" been loaded with the baggage of being a 'thing' when it is 'not a thing'.
It's a silly label that the religious keep pressing.

I would highly suggest for you, and any one else interested to read the book ""The Devil's Delusion: Atheism and its Scientific Pretensions." by self-professed secular Jew and mathematics/philosophies teacher David Berlinski.
This tells the story of a Jew who was forced to dig his own grave prior to being shot by a German soldier. Prior to being shot, the old Jewish man advised the German that "God is watching what you are doing." The Jewish gentleman pointed what i think is the real problem with atheism. "If you have the time please check the book out
