I'd be so grateful for your prayers. Want a list? Here ya go...

1. This week I'm in Orlando for a gathering of Sovereign Grace leaders. Please pray that God would encourage the men gathered and for my family while I'm away.

2. Work is in full swing on New Attitude 2009. My friend Matt Wahl is creating the design for the brochures and posters. David Altrogge and Mike Hartnett are planning our promotional video. These tools are essential in spreading word about the event. Would you pray that God would give them creativity and joy in their work? (And by the way, if you've ever been to Na, I really need your help.)

3. I'm writing. I'm a little stuck in chapter 8. Every time I ask people to pray I feel fresh strength and faith to press on. I'd be grateful if you asked God to speak to me and through me. This chapter is on the doctrine of salvation.

We have Christmas celebration for inner-city people. It is 12.22.2008. We ask that you pray that God saves, heals and renews a lot of people and that all go well.

Writing Tip: Kitchen Timer

My friend Donald Miller shares a helpful tip for writers: get a kitchen timer. Don explains, "When I have two or three writing assignments I just make a list, then pick one, then set my little timer for an hour or twenty minutes or whatever amount of time that specific assignment will cost me. And then, while the timer is ticking away on my desk, I don't let myself do anything else....When the timer goes off, I decide whether I want to keep working on it, or move on. It's a simple tool, but it works." Read more.

God Knows What We Google

Tim Challies asks whether he's ready to address his Google search history with God. "What would I say to him if he were to ask me about the things I have gone looking for online? Could I tell him with confidence that what I have sought is an indication of a heart that is aligned with his purposes?
