Disney Dumps Narnia

Disney Dumps Narnia: The LA Times reports that a nasty feud between Disney and Walden Media has led to break in their partnership. Evidently, the Caspian film cost a lot more to market and didn't bring in as much cash. Not to worry, Narnia fans, work is still underway on Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Although I'm a little disappointed that they've cast Miley Cyrus as the new Lucy. (Okay, I made that up.) Hat Tip: Tony Reinke.

Don't scare me like that!

Oh wow! You so freaked me out when you said that Miley was cast as the new Lucy!!! That would be the most horrible thing to ever happen the Narnia!!!!!!

I am very glad that they aren't willing to compromise the message of the books just to have Disney on board though.

I read this to my daughter (a hugh Narnia fan) and she was like, "WHAT! Not Hannah Montana! NOOOOOO!" Then I read that you made that up. She said, "That stinker!"

Dude, Miley as Lucy?! That's brilliantly disturbing :-)

You totally got me! hahaha

Just so you know, Fox has taken over as the new co-financer and distributor. More info in this article at NarniaWeb.http://www.narniaweb.com/news.asp?id=2110&dl=22545350

Miley as Lucy sounds more like Disney trying to bring in more dough.
