Laura Story: Great God Who Saves
If you're looking for new music...Laura Story is the singer-songwriter who penned the song Indescribable that Chris Tomlin made famous. I just stumbled across her album Great God Who Saves and bought it on iTunes for $8.99. It's good. I like the songs Perfect Peace and her version of Mighty to Save.

Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
Give Me An Answer Highschool Conference: I'm looking forward to joining Al Mohler, Russell Moore, Shane & Shane and hip-hop artist Flame at the SBTS conference for highschool students next spring. Details.
Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.

This is really one of those "just stumble onto" albums. But I will agree, I was blessed and have continued to be many times over by her music.

Hey, thanks for the recommendation. I just visited her site and listened through each of her songs. I was very much blessed. Her voice has the sweet quality of a couple of the vocals on the Valley of Vision album so I look forward to hearing more from her. Of course, I would agree with you on Mighty to Save. A huge favorite in our household.

Hey, Josh, just noticed the thing about you guys reading The Railway Children. We read that as a family when our kids were small and it was one of our all-time favorites. Very good family story. Not too many people have heard of it, it seems. I think it's one of the best-kept secrets in literature. If you're interested, when you finish the book you might like to see the movie. I think it was produced in the UK and has Richard Attenborough. Very very well done. We borrowed it from the library; don't know if it can be purchased.

Ah, I'm delighted to see that you're enjoying Laura's music! She is from my church (Perimeter Church, in Duluth, GA) and has a wonderful testimony and great gift for music. It's always a special treat when she leads worship.
