Twitter Hashtags: What Does the # Sign Mean?
Twitter Hashtags: What Does the # Sign Mean? Ever wondered what all the # signs on Twitter mean? They're called "hashtags." Twitter Fan Wiki explains: "Hashtags are a community-driven convention for adding additional context and metadata to your tweets. They're like tags on Flickr, only added inline to your post. You create a hashtag simply by prefixing a word with a hash symbol." Read more.

Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.
Sex-Trafficking in USA: A recent nation-wide crackdown rescued 52 children from sex-trafficking. The LA Times reports that most victims in this wicked industry begin at age 12. And it's "estimated that 100,000 children are still involved in sex trafficking in the U.S., adding that the problem is growing partly because of the recession." Read the article.
Andrew Gallo VstheBrain: Here are some still shots and technical specs on the video shoot we did the other day. I haven't gotten around to asking Andrew to explain his company's name VstheBrain, but it sounds cool. Read post.

Are you on twitter? You seem to have a few posts about it recently. Or maybe you just follow people via RSS?

Man you spend way too much time surfing the Internet. Seriously, you must not have much stuff to do. I challenge you to focus more on being a pastor and writing books than on blogging about stupid subjects. I would ask your fellow pastors if they think it is appropriate for you to be spending so much time surfing. Most of us in the real world don't have that luxury!

Your explanation is #righton!

Sheesh, gotta love people who know how to do your job better than you, huh? ;)

To John Roberts: In all kindness, brother, you are criticizing a man for wasting time surfing the internet when you yourself are failing to live up to the very standard you have set up. You would not have read this posting had you not spent, presumably, the some amount of time surfing the internet too.
To Josh Harris: I appreciate your dedication and commitment to your family, church, and priorities, and I benefit from this blog. Probably one of the most telling signs of your humble character is that you WILL ask your fellow pastors and wife, etc, for their opinion on your time-budgeting. I, for one, hope that they share my opinion that this blog is a blessing to the people of God.

Andrew:
I am not saying all blogging by Josh is wasteful. But, much of it is, like this one on Twitter. I love Josh and in his church. But, I have noticed that he has a lot of time to research useless info like the post in question. I for one don't have that kind of time. I am surprised that he does. I may be wrong, but he should at least ask his fellow pastors about it. I don't see CJ posting ridiculous things like this.
By the way, I get his posts through RSS, so I am not surfing as you suggest.

Gotta love criticism!
@John Roberts...ever think of Twitter as a way to better communicate with, say, members of a congregation to better connect with them? You must not be familiar with progressive churches such as LifeChurch.tv.
I am a pastor's wife myself and looked up a question about the Twitter symbols and landed on this blog. I USE Twitter AND Facebook as a WAY TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE in our church that I would NEVER have the luxury of doing otherwise. Humbly, I ask you to please think about your judgmental comments before posting such things that would never bring a smile to the face of God.
