Pilgrim's Progress Musical: Pilgrim is a modern musical adaptation of John Bunyan's classic work, Pilgrim's Progress. It was performed in spring 2009 by the high school students at my church. They did a great job. The script is by theatre professionals (and members of our church) Janice Mays and Cathy Mays. The music is by various artists, including Bob Kauflin, Zach Jones and Mark Altrogge. You can order a DVD of the production here.
Give Me An Answer Highschool Conference: I'm looking forward to joining Al Mohler, Russell Moore, Shane & Shane and hip-hop artist Flame at the SBTS conference for highschool students next spring. Details.
Stephen Altrogge Reviews Dug Down Deep: Over at the Blazing Center blog they've posted a very generous review of the book. Read it.

So insightful - how we actually question God when he does this that the psalmist is *asking* for.
My husband used to pray this for us often when we first got married, and I agreed with him but I'm pretty sure I was thinking of the American version of daily bread. I know I wasn't thinking of living paycheck to paycheck! I'm glad I was just humbled!

Josh,
You put his up without providing any commentary yet. I'm curious to see if you believe that we are really called to live paycheck to paycheck? (Note: all of this is asked with the belief that it is a natural tendency to try and live independent of God provision).
Thanks,
Michael

Good question, Michael. I don't think that Francis was saying we must live paycheck to paycheck, but I think his words challenged me to think about how "super-sized" my definition of "daily bread" really is. What I took from his words and from the Proverb is that we shouldn't be surprised or resentful when we face times of financial need that drive us to greater dependence.
God bless you,
Joshua

Thanks, Josh. I appreciate the clarification. It was good to see it just minutes after reading an article about the guy who's due a $100 million for his work for Citigroup last year.

Josh:
Thank for posting this video which has reminded me, once again, of relying on the providence and faithfulness of God in and through everything.
Much appreciated.

Even though I'm 15 years old, I can still give money to others. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I can't do anything. Very helpful and thought provoking.
