Song Lyrics "Completely Done"

Yesterday at church Bob Kauflin taught the song "Completely Done" and I found it encouraging. Here are the lyrics:

What reason have I to doubt
Why would I dwell in fear
When all I have known is grace
My future in Christ is clear

My sins have been paid in full
There's no condemnation here
I live in the good of this
My Father has brought me near
I'm leaving my fears behind me now

Chorus
The old is gone, the new has come
What You complete is completely done
We're heirs with Christ, the victory won
What You complete is completely done

I don't know what lies ahead
What if I fail again
You are my confidence
You'll keep me to the end
I'm leaving my fears behind me now

By Jonathan Baird, Ryan Baird, and Rich Gunderlock as recorded on the album Sons & Daughters.

You can listen to the song and download it free from Sovereign Grace Music.

Out of all the songs on 'Sons & Daughters' this song has ministered to me the most. I've sang it with eyes closed and tears streaming, thankful for the truth of God's completed work in contrast to my struggle with unresolved sin. Thanks for sharing this.

This song has been a theme-song of sorts for our school this year, Cornerstone University, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our chapel worship leaders attended Bob's excellent conference and learned it there.

It is a fantastic reminder of the gospel and its implications for our lives.

As Nate said - this song has also brought me to tears at times, especially through difficult/testing/refining times in life I've had recently.

Rejoicing in the finished work of Christ and being reminded that my 'future in Christ is clear' and that I don't need to fear what comes ahead, fills me with hope to perservere through trials.

I'm so grateful for this song and the truths it expresses - it really has become one of my all-time favourite songs.

Praise God that what He completes is completely done!
