In 2009 Covenant Life Church had the joy of sending a great team led by Eric Simmons to plant a new Sovereign Grace church in Arlington, Virginia. We're very excited to see how God uses this new church. It's hard to have dear friends departing, but it's invigorating to see the gospel mission advancing. Redeemer Arlington can be followed on Twitter and here's their website.

Redeemer had it's first public meeting on May 16, 2010. If you'd like to join the church for worship they meet on Sundays at 4:30pm at the Arlington Holiday Inn (Ballston). You can read Kenneth Maresco's report of the meeting here.

Hi Pastor Josh,

My name is Josue Pinto, we met a few weeks back at Covenant Life Church on the sunday you did the send-off for the Arlington church group.

I met Eric briefly that day, but I wasn't able to get details on when and where their first meeting will be.

If you could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. I'm really looking forward to joining the Redeemer Arlington group in the weeks to come, as I've been looking for a church to call "home" here in the DC area.
