My friend Donald Miller shares a helpful tip for writers: get a kitchen timer. Don explains, "When I have two or three writing assignments I just make a list, then pick one, then set my little timer for an hour or twenty minutes or whatever amount of time that specific assignment will cost me. And then, while the timer is ticking away on my desk, I don't let myself do anything else....When the timer goes off, I decide whether I want to keep working on it, or move on. It's a simple tool, but it works." Read more.
Tim Challies asks whether he's ready to address his Google search history with God. "What would I say to him if he were to ask me about the things I have gone looking for online? Could I tell him with confidence that what I have sought is an indication of a heart that is aligned with his purposes? Or would I have to confess that my searches point to a heart that is drawn to what is evil and perverse?" Read the post.

Yea Tristan!
well done.
Really good bro.
Very creative and very good.
That's a positive from me!
Positive Vote! Well done Tristan!
Hands down loved this one. It was clear in it's message and appealed to me just a much as it did my 9 yr old son. Such a simple idea, but impactful.
Good video. well done
Very well done! Definitely captures the idea behind the book best. I can't wait to read the book now!
This one is my favorite. Good Job!
By far the best of the bunch. Speaks directly to the core message of Josh's book, Dug Down Deep. Plus, the stop-motion is quite popular right now. Great job, Tristan!
Very well done!
I enjoyed watching this video. I felt like it was the most clear on what the video is about, promoting Dug Down Deep.
Oh, I liked this one so much. The stop-motion is awesome, but didn't detract or distract from the book excerpt. It wasn't overly dramatized, rather, it was compellingly simple.
Love everything about this one, very creative and captivating.
Enjoyable, effective. (2nd place) ;o)
Great video, love the powerful use of words, image, voice and texture. All the videos are well done but this one stands out above the rest. Great job to the crew who did this video.
Really like this one!
It was a tough pick betweeen you and Ben Cantrell. This is the one that I got the most out of, although a few of the others were really well done too. Maybe seeing and hearing the words made them stick with me more. Great job!
My favorite =)
I like it :)
While this is definitely a super fun visual representation of the text, I don't feel that the visuals enhance or help to bring out the meaning within the text. It's similar to a music video in that it shows what's being said only, without showing the depth beneath, if that makes sense. Not my first pick, but definitely a close second.
Positive, but I wish someone would've taught him how to hold a pencil. Very distracting! :-(
Loved this one.
vote for this
This is so creative. Love it! It really gets the message across as well.
This one was great... stayed with the text from the book and helped visualize what was being said.
Excellent video
Well done! You have my vote.
Absolutely brilliant! I love it!
very creative.
i like it.
I loved it! Awesome video!
Great video! Well done.
No question. Love this one.
This video was my favorite. I also think that it best portrays what Dug Down Deep is all about.
Great video. Definitely my favorite!
This one most clearly communicated the message. Really made me want to read the book. It gets my vote. Just added Dug Down Deep to my birthday wishlist.
fabulous-- creative and captures what I understand to be the primary message of the book. The music and the artistic style are a perfect blend.
This one gets my vote, no question!
most clear, IMO. will grab visual & auditory learners. :) def my fav! :) can't wait to read the book!
Simple idea, beautifully executed. Leaves me excited to get started reading the book.
Creative, engaging, non-confusing, wasn't over-artsy, didn't leave me thinking "what the heck did that mean?" My vote, all the way.
THAT is good!
I like this a lot because I think it's simple and also effective. I'm also an artist and I like the artistic flair shown in this video. Good work!
BEST.
Great job Tristan! My [positive]vote is for this film!
this one has my vote, hands down. it was the most uplifting and positive in such a simple interpretation. great job!
Well done!
very clear promotion for the book -- my favorite
