Oregon

We're in Oregon. Mom had a few bad few days last week so I left the Next conference early and the family flew out Sunday morning. I'm so grateful for all the people from Covenant Life and from Next who are praying for Mom. God is answering your prayers. She felt stronger yesterday and today and is eating more. Here are some pics from the lush, rain-drenched town of Gresham...

To our faith family at Covenant Life Church, we can't thank you enough for your expressions of love and support. We will miss being with you the next few Sundays. But God has provided a great line-up of teachers in my absence this month: Dave Harvey, Bob Donohue, Jared Mellinger and Jeff Purswell. We're planning to fly home June 25th. Please pray for us as we pray for you (cue Michael W. Smith song). We love you.

PTL (Praise the Lord)!!!! Josh I'm so glad to hear about your mom and the good days after some bad days. I have been praying for you and your family. I know God will do a good work through this circumstance. Love the pictures! Enjoy Oregon. We will surely miss you at church. Praying for you constantly.

Praying! Love the pics!

Blessings,

Praying for your mother & family Josh - be blessed my friend, Joel

It's wonderful to hear your mom is doing better, but my prayers will continue. One thing my family and I have had to go through is cancer and multiple cysts in my mom's body. All 6 of my siblings, two in-laws and my parents all did studying on what would cause the cysts and what would repeal the cancer. We found that all of the hormones and antibiotics in the meat, dairy, vegetables and fruits caused a lot of the problems. We've since switched to mostly organic foods.

I would suggest trying the same. If humans consume food that contains chemicals that God didn't design us to withstand and digest, we start to destroy our bodies. In my mom's case, it made the cysts worse, but since moving towards organic food, she's made significant recovery.

One thing, also, to look up to help your mom with cancer is Vitamin B17. Here in California it's illegal to sell it, because, well, it causes people to turn to the natural vitamin rather than spend tens of thousands of dollars on other types of engineered drugs (which isn't a problem). Also, Apricot seeds. ( I would just do some research on those three things, moving organic, using B17 and Apricot seeds)

I will continue to pray.

In Christ,
Sky

So glad to hear your mom is doing better!!!! Praying continually brother... much love!!

Beautiful pictures and words. I will pray for your mom and God's love over her! May God pull you all closer to His heart!

I just spoke with my parents and let them know the news, and they were shocked, devastated and saddened. They, too, will be praying. My mother and father, however, had made mention of something called The Gerson Miracle. It's just some stuff to consider, taking the natural/homeopathic route.

Again, my family and I will be praying for you.

In Christ,
Sky

interceding for you mom.

Seeing the pictures means an awful lot, Josh. Thank you! So glad to hear Bob will be helping with guest preaching...how I love our pastor! Continuing in prayer and sending love in our GREAT Savior! God is good...all the time!

Love and miss you guys. I was wondering if your little ones would like to receive mail while they are in Oregon from our family. Let us know! Best to Shannon. Please tell your Mom that we are so grateful for the investment she made into her son (Josh as well as others and your sister).

I just recently discovered your blog and am so glad I did. What a sweet post!

Praying for your lovely mom!

Hi Josh, God has put your family on our hearts often during the day, so we're praying, praying, praying. Grace for today and bright hope for tomorrow!! Please send your mom my love!

beautiful photos. I will continue to pray for your mom. That slug is huge. Good job on building a dam together.

Thanks for up dating us on your mom Josh. Proverbs says "A generous man prospers, he who refreshed others will himself be refreshed" As I pray for God's healing for your mom, I pray also brother for the comfort that can only come from God for your mom, dad, and your whole family. Praise be to His glorious grace.

Thanks for the pics. I am praying for all of you.
Here is a poem I got from a Dayspring card:

When you are the neediest, He is the most sufficient.
When you are completely helpless, He is the most helpful.
When you are the weakest, He is most able.
When you are the most alone, He is intimately present.
When you feel you are the least, He is the greatest.
When you feel the most useless, He is preparing you.
When it is the darkest. He is the only Light you need.
When you feel the least secure, He is your Rock and Fortress.

Thank you for the pictures and updating us on your mom--am so glad you are taking this month to be with her--it is time spent that you and your family will never forget..I know as a mom how much it would mean to me for my son and family to be with me..We are praying for all of you..

thank u for the updates, pastor. i'm praying.

I will continue to pray for your Mom Josh! It's good news she's feeling better and eating again. I know it's a good thing you, Shannon and the kids are able to be with her. On a side note, I remember at the very first New Attitude, we were in the same family group together. She is one godly woman full of faith and joy!!
With love and prayers,
Allison

Thanks for the update and for sharing the pictures. I love it...it is just so familyish. You all are on our hearts all day long. We are praying, but I bet your mom is walking in the Grace provided because she is so good at that. What a lovely lady.

Thank God for the good progress in your Mum's health. Praying for your family that God will perfect all that concerns you.

Ever since we've heard the news about Sono, we've been praying for you... Thanks for the pics! We will miss you here but it is wonderful that the children can spend such wonderful time with the grandparents. Will continue to pray for Lily as well... (Is she there with you?) And please do watch for your health...

Thank you for the update and pictures...praying for your Mom and family.

I am praying every day for your mother's healing, and for your family; asking God to be so lovingly present in every detail of this tragedy that all of you will be able to say, as never before, "I have truly seen the Lord!"

Beautiful family pictures. For some reason I've been waking up at midnight/one in the morning so I'm using that time to pray and I especially say a prayer for your Mom.

Joshua, thank you so much for the update and family photos. I looked at the photo of your dad and thought, "Wow, we were all young and raising our own little ones while helping thousands of other families just a few years ago...how did we turn into grandparents overnight?". Praying for your mom and dad, and ALL of the rest of the Harris clan. We love you immensely...but the love of God for each one of you is even greater!

Thinking of and praying for you all!

Hello Josh and All,

Thanks for the update. Will continue to pray for you Mom and all of you. Though we don't know you or any of your siblings, or your Mom for that matter, we do know your Dad well as we had the pleasure of having him stay with us several times. He could tell you some funny stories about that!

We will continue to lift you all up before the throne of grace, the Great Physician in all ways.

Godspeed,

Mary Ann Eagleson for us all (Bruce, Hannah, Nate, Mimsy and Abby)

Praying for you mom and your whole family. Dr. Robert DeMaria has a wonderful book called Dr. Bob's Drugless Guide to Detoxification. It really has some great practical nutritional and herbal advice. It is published by Destiny Image. The quote on the back of the book that the publishing company states: "Speaking to the Purposes of God for this Generation and for the Generations to Come." So glad you are able to spend these days with your family.
