Here's a great clip from a sermon by Pastor Mark Driscoll on the importance of giving and serving in your local church. Family is messy. And being part of a family means playing your part and working. Let's all get on board!

"As we advance through the centuries, light and life begin to decrease in the Church. Why? Because the torch of the Scripture begins to grow dim and because the deceitful light of human authorities begins to replace it." - Merle d'Aubigne (1794-1872), Reformation historian

Awesome reminder, Josh.
Perfec. Well said!
Let me just go and serve now...
Right on.
He probably shouldn't have mocked that member of his congregation, though. I appreciate the humility that you, C.J., and my own (SGM) pastors display in only using themselves as negative examples.
So true.
Interesting point about leaving your kids to your "real" family if your biological ones aren't saved. I can't argue with the fact that the most important thing you want for your children is to know Jesus.
SO happy to watch/hear this reminder this morning! praying for you and your family
Great thoughts from Pastor Mark.
In true Driscoll fashion he took 7 minutes to make a 3 minute point, but that's what happens when you preach from post-it notes.
But again, solid illustration.
WOW. Fantastic thoughts from Pastor Mark! Great! Thanks for posting this, Pastor Josh!
