I think that Dr. Russell Moore nails it in his commentary on the Glenn Beck rally. Amen.
"As we advance through the centuries, light and life begin to decrease in the Church. Why? Because the torch of the Scripture begins to grow dim and because the deceitful light of human authorities begins to replace it." - Merle d'Aubigne (1794-1872), Reformation historian
"I believe in eternal security. God keeps me secure by making me desperate to be kept--through prayer and the fight of faith." - @John Piper
Paul preaching about Jesus in Antioch in Pisidia: "Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:38-39).
"And let us not take it into our heads either to seek out God anywhere else than in his Sacred Word, or to think anything about him that is not prompted by his Word, or to speak anything that is not taken from that Word." - John Calvin, Institutes, Book 1

I'm not a Catholic, a Mormon, a Hindu or a Jew. I'm a Christian. But I see no problem with attending or supporting a rally with people of those faiths, if the intent of the rally is to encourage and celebrate religious freedom and promoting virtue (that's really what the rally was about).
Moore has his own strong political persuasions (he is a committed Democrat). I don't challenge his right or freedom of conscience to associate with ungodly forces in politics, because I believe Christians have freedom to do so as long as their words and actions don't contradict the Gospel.
